BIENVENIDOS – DAY 1
Day 1 Arrival means Equipo greets you at Jose Maria Cordova International Airport in Medellin to travel for a welcome dinner, relaxing hotel accommodations and bike preparation.

FIRST GLIMPSES – Day 2
After a hearty Colombian breakfast, stage one starts towards the colonial town, Sonson. We leave from the hotel on bikes and our first climb is La Union, a scenic road filled with tropical flowers and views of the Oriente, the mountain region surrounding the second largest city in Colombia, Medellin. We continue to loop the area on farm country roads with few cars, and we loop around the town Mesopotamia. During the ride, we make stops to regroup and take on refreshments and snacks for the ride. Dinner this evening will be on the open terrace at the hotel.
> Riding time is 4-5 hours depending on the pace of the group. We separate our group by level from Beginner to Advanced and coordinate by having guides and SAG support by riding level.
Climber’s Delight – Day 3
Stage Two moves through rollers to a climb headed towards La Ceja and Abejorral. Endless rollers with some sections between 10-18% of inclination and 2-3 km on gravel roads. The route we take provides enough challenge and even more sensory rewards as mountain air fuels lungs and legs warm to the increased elevation. We make stops for finger food, refreshments and wholesome pastries followed by a hearty Colombian lunch. After we return back to the hotel, we transport to our next hotel in the best tourist region called Parque Lleras in Medellin. After we get settled, take in a sports massage and experience the area by walking to our dinner this evening.

RICH REWARDS – Day 4
Stage three begins by riding in the SAG vehicles for 30 minutes to the outskirts of the city, towards Suroeste Antioqueno, where we spend the remainder of the tour. We have today a 100km ride towards the colonial towns of Andes and Hispania. We move through rollers to a challenging climb headed toward the scenic region of Jardin, filled with mountains and coffee plantations, also considered to be one of the most beautiful towns in the region and Colombia. We’re riding in the coffee zone of Antioquia, filled with lush green mountains, tropical flowers and views that might remind us of central California. Our reward is a hearty Italian meal, after reaching Jardin and getting settled at our next hotel.
> Riding time is 5.0-5.5 hours. The group continues to be divided into riding levels and each ride can be shortened based on your preference for the day.
WORTHY WORK- Day 5
Stage 4 is the Queen stage of the cycling journey, and we start our descent on bikes from Jardin and experience just how much climbing we did on the previous day. We regroup with a stop at the top of Tarso, our first 13K climb before descending 7K to climbing 17K to reach Jerico, where we will go to our next hotel. After climbing 3,200 meters in less than 40 miles, we have a rewarding dinner this evening at a Colombian steakhouse. Simply a big day.

PEDAL PROVEN- Day 6
The final stage, we begin today’s ride with a smooth climb to the town of Fredonia as we make our return to Medellin, We have approximately 23km climbing with postcard views of coffee plantations and dairy farms. We cross the town of Marsella, with hard rollers and false flats after Fredonia and make strategic stops to try different Colombian pastries, appetizers, and refreshments before making it to our final destination in Medellin. As our tour comes to an end, we get settled in the afternoon and have time to explore Parque Lleras. Tonight’s dinner reception is where we bid farewell to the group.
ADIOS – Day 7
Day 7 returns you to Jose Maria Cordoba International Airport after breakfast and time with fellow riders.
